Al Brooks Trading Price Action Reversals Pdf Rating: 7,2/10 6908 reviews

I am in the process of finding books to expand my knowledge in forex. One of the biggest things i want to work on is being able to fully understand charts and price action.

I want to understand if the chart does X what will most likely happen If the chart does Y Or Z after. One of the things i want to do is look at the chart of certain pairs in the past and really analyse them and understand them so i can prepare myself if the specific chart was to reach the same area. If one of you knowledgeable forex traders out there with tons of experience could recommend me a book or article or anything in that matter that would be awesome. I would like a book though just because of the fact that i do enjoy having the book in my possession if i would ever need it again in the future.

Sorry, Bob - I’ve only just seen your reply, now. I think I’d read Volman first, then the parts of Joe Ross which you can find free (because his books are really expensive, as you say, and I’m not aware of any cheaper places to get them), then probably Al Brooks (he also has a website with a little free stuff on it). Amazon is the only place I know, for the Volman and Brooks books. There’s a “Joe Ross Trading Manual” available in PDF form, chapter by chapter, which will “give you the flavour” of his writing and help you decide whether or not to shell out for the textbooks (which are better than the free stuff). The Ross stuff is available (scroll down to about three quarters of the way down the page, to the sub-heading “Joe Ross Trading Manual” and you’ll find links to 31 PDF’s to download.

Not all of them are exactly “the best of the best”, but there are a few good things there. The rest of the stuff available in PDF form from that page, by other authors, is a real “mixed bag”. There’s plenty of junk there, too, so I wouldn’t get too distracted by the other things.

Specifically, there’s a PDF on “1-2-3 Formations” (which Joe Ross also writes about very well and clearly), written by someone called Victor Sperandeo, also known as “Trader Vic”, who has basically got the whole thing wrong, mislabelled the diagrams, and made a real hash of it - definitely to be avoided! Another free and quite good source for chart-reading and price action material in PDF form is a collection of stuff by Lance Beggs, which he calls his “Lost Blog Posts” - it’s a really huge PDF version of an earlier website of his, no longer available on the web, or something like that, and he makes it available free. I’m afraid I haven’t got a link for it, but I think it’s on one of his websites. You might have to register and supply an email address to download it, but if so, you can do that safely without him spamming you by email. I haven’t read all of it (and neither have many people, probably, given the size of the thing!), but he’s a decent writer/teacher about price action and I think it might help.
