This same thing happened when boxes started coming out that could decode DVB-S2. Although there were many great boxes still out that were DVB-S only, they could not decode S2. So everybody had to have S2 capable boxes.

Currently I am testing a replacement box that will still be around the $100 mark. I will update everyone in a week to 2 weeks on how that is going. I will also say this.

As always I will continue to offer support for anyone that bought a RE just like I did when the SE was dropped. Remember this was supposed to happen with the SE. When the SE was dropped that was it for that class of STB's.

After many emails and phone calls they brought the SE back in two versions the SE(SCART Edition) and RE(RCA Edition). They told me that that will not likely happen again and they will move forward. So there you have it my sad news of the day.
